Mika Hasler
Concert Violinist, Former Concert Master Houston Symphony Orchestra 
Mika Hasler began her violin studies at the age of two. When she was 13, she received the Minister of Education Award and as a teenager was the 1st place winner of the Siena International Competition performed at St. Cecilia Philharmonic Orchestra with Leonard Bernstein conducting the Young Artist Competition in Washington D.C., and earned a performance at the Kennedy Center.She came to the United States as a Fulbright Scholar and studied with the legendary Josef Gingold. She has performed with the Houston Symphony and served as the Concert Mistress of the Houston Grand Opera for seven years. As a soloist, she toured with Rice University throughout Europe. Mika Hasler was a member of Cosmopolitan Trio. During the summer, she worked as a faculty member and performer at the International Academy of Music festival of Europe including Russia. In addition, she has been involved with the Society, and served as an official hostess to the USA former President George Bush Sr. and Japanese Prime Minister Toshiki Kaifu during the Economic Summit held in Houston. Mika continues to teach and perform around the world and loves helping young artists.
